
Arnie Ball Presented With Sagamore of the Wabash Honor

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - At the annual IPFW men's volleyball golf outing, long-time men's volleyball head coach Arnie Ball was presented with the Sagamore of the Wabash, an honorary award from the state of Indiana. He was presented the award by State Representative and Indiana Legislator of the Year Bob Morris.
Among those who have received Sagamores have been astronauts, presidents, ambassadors, artists, musicians, politicians, and citizens who have contributed greatly to "Hoosier" heritage.
Ball, who coached his final season with the men's volleyball program in 2015, ended his career with the fifth-most wins in NCAA men's volleyball history. The 2007 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Coach of the Year led his teams to six NCAA Final Fours, and a Championship Game appearance. He was named to the AVCA Hall of Fame in 2012, and the school named the court in the Gates Center in his honor.
