Mastodons Take to the Road for Battle with Panthers

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Jason Burr and the IPFW women's soccer team will look to change around its luck from the first four matches of the season as the team travels west to take on the Eastern Illinois Panthers in a battle of two teams looking for their first wins of the 2015 season.

SCOUTING THE MASTODONS
The Mastodons will look to snap out of their three-match scoring skid, despite having numerous near-makes during the early portion of the season, including hitting the post twice in a five-second span against Bowling Green, having a penalty kick narrowly kicked away, and a handful of shots that missed just wide of the goal.
Kallianne Mogler has scored the team's only goal during the year, while Rachel Good and Andie Lazzerini each have an assist. Mogler has taken a team-high nine shot attempts, while Good has six, and Tessa Edwards and Mayson Whitman have each attempted five.
Kiley Dunning has a 2.90 goals against average in four matches, while picking up 26 saves and a .703 save percentage.
SCOUTING THE PANTHERS
Eastern Illinois, who is 0-3-1 on the season, has faced three teams early this season which IPFW also faces during their season. The Panthers fell 6-0 to Northern Kentucky, while tying IUPUI 0-0 and falling 3-2 in double overtime to Western Illinois.
Molly Hawkins has scored both of the team's goals this season, while Kathleen Mackinnon has the team's only assist. Hawkins and Hannah Miller each lead the team with seven shots, while Mackinnon has four.
Defensively Maddie Lyon has been in goal for the majority of the season, and has a 2.65 goals against average with 30 saves and a .769 save percentage.

This is the first all-time meeting in the regular season for IPFW and Eastern Illinois.
