TULSA, Okla. - Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell to Oral Roberts 7-1 at Case Soccer Complex on Friday (Oct. 14).
The Mastodons (3-11-1) could not overcome a first half hat-trick by Lexi Jones, despite shooting four of five shots on target.
Gabbie Mann secured the only 'Don goal in the 54th minute, knocking in an unassisted shot after regaining possession on a loose ball. Both of Mann's shots on the night were on goal. Katrina Sutherly and Paityn Fleming recorded the two other shots on goal for Fort Wayne.
Amanda Cook recorded six saves while in goal.
Amanda Dial, Caroline Frank, Tahlor Lyman and Sierra Beall all scored in the second half to extend the Oral Roberts lead to the final score. The Golden Eagles moved to 6-9-1 on the year with the win.
Fort Wayne will be back in action on Friday (Oct. 21) when they host Western Illinois back in Fort Wayne, Indiana at Hefner Soccer Complex at 7 p.m.
