Fort Wayne (10-3, 0-0 Summit) opens league play on Thursday against the Leathernecks. The Mastodons are 1-1 in Summit League openers under head coach Jon Coffman. The 'Dons won last season over Oral Roberts 90-84 to open league play but in 2014-15 fell in the opener at Western Illinois 73-67 on Jan. 2. All-time, the 'Dons are 4-5 in Summit League openers.
LAST TIME OUT
Fort Wayne shot 54.2 percent from the floor in a 93-86 victory at Detroit Mercy. The 'Dons have won nine of their last 10 games.

Mo Evans picked up his 1,000th career point vs. Kenyon. He is the 13th player in program history to reach the plateau. He now owns 1,199 career points and ranks seventh all-time in scoring at Fort Wayne.

Mo Evans is 13th in the nation in total assists (79) and 11th in the country in total steals (29). His 50.6 percent mark from beyond the arc ranks 12th in the nation in 3-point field goal percentage.

Mo Evans recorded 11 assists against Austin Peay (Nov. 30) and 10 against Miami (Ohio) (Dec. 3). The last Mastodon to reach 10 or more assists in back-to-back games was Demetrius Johnson who had 10 against both North Dakota State and South Dakota State in 2008.
