Mastodons Enter Final Day in 13th Place

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The IPFW men's golf team had a tough day on the course as the Mastodons finished the second round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate with a 305. The 'Dons enter the final round in 13th place with team score of 595.

The event is being hosted by The College of William & Mary at the par-70, 6,765-yard Kingsmill Resort - The River Course. Tennessee and Penn State are tied for the team lead with two-day scores of 569. Charles Huntzinger of Penn State continues to lead the field with a 36-hole score of 9-under-par 131.

Jacob Groninger leads the 'Dons through two rounds in a tie for 39th with a 147. Zach Schroeder enters the final round tied for 43rd with a combined score of 148. One stroke back in a tie for 49th is Dan Wert. Finishing the second round tied for 62nd with a 151 is Devin Jenkins. Clark Tiller closed out the scoring for the Mastodons with a 36-hole score of 159 to end the day tied for 113th.

The final round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate will be a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start.
