Men's Golf Finishes Tied for 13th at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - The IPFW men's golf team closed out the final round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate with a 300 and a three-round score of 895 to finish tied for 13th place.
The event was hosted by The College of William & Mary at the par-70, 6,765-yard Kingsmill Resort - The River Course. Penn State captured the team title by five strokes over Tennessee with a three-day score of 845. Paul Barjon of TCU claimed the individual medalist honors by two shots with a 54-hole score of 7-under-par 203.
The Mastodons, along with Longwood and Delaware, finished eight strokes back of 12th place Ohio.
Jacob Groninger led the 'Dons on the final day at 2-over-par 70 to finish tied for 29th with a 219. Zach Schroeder and Dan Wert ended the week separated by one stroke, with scores of 223 and 224, respectively. Schroeder finished tied for 45th while Wert was tied for 51st. Devin Jenkins concluded the tournament tied for 82nd overall, shooting a combined score of 229. Closing out the Mastodon scoring for the week was Clark Tiller with a 54-hole score of 240 and ended in a tie for 118th overall.
IPFW next competes at the two-day NYX Hoosier Invitational hosted by Indiana beginning April 2.
