
Women's Golf Seventh After Day One of Bulldog Florida Invite

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Playing in its second tournament in as many days, the IPFW women's golf team finished the first 18 holes of the Bulldog Florida Invitational with a round of 338 to sit in seventh place.
Hosted by Butler University at the par-72 Windsor Parke Golf Club, the course is being played at 6,003 yards. Western Michigan and Ball State are tied for the lead after the first round with scores of 313. Ball State's Allison Lindley and Kayla Katterhenry from Evansville finished the day tied atop the individual leaderboard with rounds of 3-over-par 75.
The Mastodons sit seven strokes back of sixth place Evansville heading into the final day. Brenna Sherwood leads IPFW with a 77 to finish the day tied for seventh. With a score of 84 for the round, Madison Chesnutt is tied for 27th place. One stroke back in a tie for 30th is Jenna Kurosky. Candi Keller ended the round with a score of 92 and is tied for 52nd overall. Paige Bird wrapped up the team scoring for the Mastodons with a 98 and enters day two in 56th place.
IPFW's Abigail Carlsen and Hannah Jennings are competing as individuals. Carlsen finished day one tied for 36th with an 86 while Jennings carded a 102 and is tied for 57th.
The final round of the Bulldog Florida Invitational will be a 9:30 a.m. shotgun start on March 10.
