Mastodons Enter Final Round Tied for Fourth

NEWTON, Kan. - Heading into the final round of the Summit League Men's Golf Championship, the IPFW squad is tied for fourth with a 606 after shooting a second-round 301.
Hosted at the par-72 Sand Creek Station Golf Club, the course is being played at 6,733 yards. South Dakota State extended its lead to 18 strokes over the field with a two-day score of 584. Chris Korte of Denver holds a one-shot lead heading into the final round with a 36-hole score of 1-under-par 143.
The Mastodons enter the final day tied with Oral Roberts, one shot back of Western Illinois, and two behind Omaha.
Zach Schroeder carded a 78 on day two as he finished tied for seventh with a combined score of 148. Devin Jenkins and Josh Keating enter day three tied for 21st with scores of 153, respectively. Jenkins led the 'Dons on the round with a 2-over-par 74 while Keating finish with a 76.
Jacob Groninger recorded three birdies on the front nine, to finish 1-under-par through nine holes. Groninger ended the round with a 75 and sits in a tie for 25th with a 36-hole score of 154. Dan Wert finished his back nine at 1-under-par to round out the IPFW scoring with a 76 on the day for a two-day score of 157 and a tie for 35th place.
