Fort Wayne Falls to Butler 4-0 in Home Contest

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell 4-0 to the Butler Bulldogs at the Warrior Athletic Field on Sunday (Sept. 11).
Butler (5-2-1) scored three goals in the first half, the first coming in the ninth minute from Paige Monaghan with an assist from Serina Kashimoto. Maeve Burger scored in the 16th minute on a ball that bounced around in the box off several different players. The assist was credited to Carly Goehring. Monaghan scored a second goal in the 18th minute, knocking in a 30-yard shot that bounced off the right post into the goal.
In the second half, Christy Chou headed in a goal after a shot from Monaghan rebounded off the crossbar.
Kiley Dunning was in goal for 83 minutes, logging 10 saves, boosting her Summit League leading total to 58 on the year.
Fort Wayne (2-6-0) will be back in action on Friday (Sept. 16) at 7 p.m. as the Mastodons host the Bowling Green Falcons.
