FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne women's soccer team dropped its home match against the visiting Bowling Green Falcons 3-0 on Friday (Sept. 16) at Hefner Soccer Complex.
The Mastodons held the Falcons scoreless in the first half, behind Kiley Dunning's four first-half saves.
The Falcons (5-3-0) struck in the second half three times, at the 48-minute, 58-minute and 67-minute marks. The first goal came by Skylar Fleak, with an assisted cross coming from Maureen Kennedy. Fleak assisted on the second goal, which was scored by Jennifer Reyes. The third goal came by way of a good penalty kick from Kennedy.
Deanna Hecht led the way for the Mastodons, notching 2 shots, with two on target. Mayson Whitman also contributed a pair of shots.
Dunning's 90-minute outing resulted in 12 saves, making her Summit League leading total 70.
The Mastodons (2-7-0) will be back in action on Sunday as the Tiffin Dragons visit Fort Wayne for a 1 p.m. start at Hefner Soccer Complex.
