Indiana State Tops Fort Wayne 3-0 at Hefner Field

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne women's soccer team fell to the visiting Indiana State Sycamores 3-0 at Hefner Field on Sunday (Sept. 25).
Indiana State scored at the half-hour mark with Katie Wells knocking one in after beating out Kiley Dunning in the box, placing her shot in the top left corner. ISU scored again in minute 46, when Gaelen Stejbach buried a shot from outside the box into the far left side. The third goal came in minute 82, when Maddie Orf headed in a corner kick from Wells.
Kallianne Mogler added two shots on goal, and Kassidy Simpkins, Malissa Hofmeister, Deanna Hecht and Andie Lazzerini all added one.
Kiley Dunning logged 90 minutes in goal and snagged four saves, pushing her to her Summit League leading total to 79.
Fort Wayne finishes nonconference play 3-8-0.
The Mastodons will be back in action on Saturday (Oct. 1) in Fort Wayne as the South Dakota Jackrabbits visit to start up Summit League play.
