
Jenkins Leads Fort Wayne to Sixth Place in Opening Tournament

VERONA, N.Y. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team carded a final-round 7-over-par 295 to finish the Turning Stone-Tiger Intercollegiate in sixth place with a two-day score of 897.
Played at the par-72, 6,857-yard Turning Stone Resort - Kaluhyat Course, tournament host Missouri won the team title with a 54-hole score of 12-under-par 852. Kavan Eubank of Texas A&M captured medalist honors by shooting an 8-under-par 208 for the tournament.
The Mastodons finished five strokes back of fifth place Cleveland State and one shot better than Summit League rival IUPUI.
Devin Jenkins carded a 1-under-par 71 on the final day to finish tied for 13th with a two-day score of 219. Keegan Bronnenberg led the 'Dons with four birdies on the day to finish at 2-over-par 74 and tie for 24th with a 224. Zach Schroeder recorded an eagle on the par-5, 529-yard No. 6, to card a 74 on the day and 227 for the tournament to tie for 32nd place. Teammate Josh Keating also tied for 32nd after shooting a final-round 76. David Watterson capped off the scoring for the 'Dons with a 76 on the final day to finish tied for 51st with a 54-hole score of 234.
Fort Wayne returns to the course for the NKU Fall Classic in Batavia, Ohio, September 25 and 26.
