
Nine Mastodons Collect CSC Academic All-District Honors

GREENWOOD, Ind. - Nine Purdue Fort Wayne student-athletes were selected to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District list: men's volleyball's Hunter Hopkins, Andrew Mayer and Logan Muir, men's golfers Justin Hicks, Nick Holder and Brock Reschly, and women's golfers Lara Dommach, Louise Ekesall and Hunar Mittal.
Muir was the only Mastodon to move on to the Academic All-America voting process.
Hopkins has a 3.70 GPA in the mechanical engineering program. He started 23 matches in his sophomore season, running the Mastodon men's volleyball offense from the setter spot. He had a season-high 63 assists in the season opener against Missouri S&T, totaling 9.92 per set in the 2026 season. Hopkins also earned an Academic All-MIVA nod while setting for the top-20 Mastodons. This is Hopkins' first CSC Academic All-District award.
Mayer owns a 3.88 GPA in the biology program and started all 24 matches in his junior campaign. The libero from Indianapolis averaged 1.66 digs per set, a team-high. Mayer is a three-time Academic All-MIVA honoree and a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree.
Muir has collected a 3.75 GPA through three years in his pursuit of a data science degree. Muir was named an AVCA All-America Honorable Mention and First Team All-MIVA selection. He led the team with 3.67 kills per set on a .296 hitting percentage with a season-high of 32 kills against McKendree. Muir is a three-time Academic All-MIVA honoree and a two-time CSC Academic All-District selection.
Hicks has a 3.85 cumulative GPA in the business program. His 74.14 stroke average was second-best on the Mastodon men's golf program. Hicks had a season-low 3-under par at the Joe Feaganes Marshall Invitational. This is Hicks' first College Sports Communicators Academic All-District nod.
Holder finished his Mastodon career with a 3.75 GPA in the MBA program. He graduated as the all-time leader in rounds of golf played at Purdue Fort Wayne and had a 74.00 season average in his last season with the 'Dons. He led the Mastodons to a Horizon League Championship in 2023, then racked up academic awards throughout his career. He is a four-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, a seven-time Horizon League Academic Honor Roll recipient, a two-time GCAA All-America Scholar, a Purdue Fort Wayne Top 50 Student, and a Horizon League All-Academic Team Honorable Mention.
Reschly owns a 3.85 GPA through three years in Purdue Fort Wayne's accounting program. The junior was the Mastodons' best on the course, shooting an average of 73.64 per round, which was ninth-best in program history. Reschly finished seventh at the Horizon League Championship, a team-best. He is a two-time CSC Academic All-District honoree, earned three Horizon League Academic Honor Roll nods and twice secured a spot on the Horizon League All-Academic Team. He was also a GCAA All-America Scholar last season.
Dommach has a 3.64 GPA after two years in the Mastodons' science program. She turned in a season average of 80.10 as a sophomore. Her season was highlighted by a top-10 finish at the Red Flash Invitational. Dommach was a WGCA All-American Scholar and earned a Horizon League Academic Honor Roll selection.
Ekesall owns a perfect 4.0 as a communications major. She had a pair of top-10 finishes in her sophomore campaign, including fifth at the NKU Spring Fling. Ekesall was a WGCA All-American Scholar last season and earned a spot on the Horizon League Academic Honor Roll.
Mittal has a 3.53 GPA in the business program. She played in all 25 rounds of her sophomore campaign, shooting an average of 79.84. She was in the top-15 in three different events, including a 15th-place finish at the Horizon League Championship. Mittal is a three-time Horizon League Academic Honor Roll selection and was a First Team honoree in 2025.
