Mastodon Men's and Women's Volleyball Teams Collect AVCA Academic Awards

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's and men's volleyball programs both earned the American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award, the organization announced on Thursday (July 23).
The Team Academic Award goes to any team with a 3.30 cumulative team GPA for an academic year. This is the 16th time, and the 13th year in a row, that the Purdue Fort Wayne women's program has earned the AVCA Team Academic Award. This is the fourth time the men's program has earned the honor, and second in a row.
In the 2025-26 academic year, the Mastodon women had a cumulative team GPA of 3.63. The men owned a 3.48 mark, the highest of any Purdue Fort Wayne men's program. It also was a high-water mark for the men's volleyball program's history.
