Fort Wayne junior outside hitter Nicole Rightnowar became the 18th player in program history to reach 1,000 career kills when she did so during the first set against Western Illinois on Oct. 8. Former teammate Somer Johnson was the last Mastodon to reach the plateau, doing so last season. Rightnowar became the 9th player to reach the mark while coach Steve Florio has been at Fort Wayne.
