Men's Golf Concludes Fall Season With Ninth Place Finish

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team ended its fall season with a team score of 302 as the Mastodons placed ninth at the Dayton Flyer Invitational with a two-day score of 908.

Hosted by Dayton at the par-71, 7,055-yard NCR Country Club, South Course, Miami (Ohio) won the team title with a 54-hole score of 860. Patrick Flavin also of Miami defeated Beau Breault from Eastern Michigan on the second hole of a playoff, after the duo tied for individual medalist honors with a 1-under-par 212.

Zach Schroeder led the Mastodons for the week, shooting a 226 to finish tied for 39th. Josh Keating led the 'Dons on the day with a 1-over-par 72, which included eight pars and a birdie on the back nine. Keating ended the tournament tied with Callahan Elzey for 42nd place with two-day totals of 227. Eric Brinker finished in 53rd place, carding a 54-hole score of 232. Zac Turi rounds out the Mastodon scoring for the week with a 237 and finishing in 59th position.
