FORT WAYNE, Ind. - To begin the final weekend of the season, the Fort Wayne women's soccer team hosts Denver on Friday (Oct. 27) at 7 p.m. at Hefner Soccer Complex.

Scouting the Mastodons (1-15-0, 0-5-0 Summit League)
The Mastodons enter the weekend at 1-15-0, 0-5-0 in Summit League play. Kendall Quinn and Deanna Hecht lead the team in goals with four, while Kallianne Mogler leads the 'Dons in assists with six. Two of Fort Wayne's Summit League matches this season have been decided by one goal; Omaha and Western Illinois both won 1-0.
Scouting the Pioneers (8-8-1, 4-2-0 Summit League)
The Pioneers enter their final matchup of the regular season having clinched at least a tie for fourth place in the Summit League race with a 4-2 League record. The Pioneers are fighting with South Dakota and Oral Roberts for seeding the Summit League Tournament. Denver has won its last two matches by a total of seven goals.
When We Last Met
Denver took a 5-0 victory at home in front of an announced crowd of 1,067 fans. Two of the goals scored in that match were from Pioneers that are still on the team.
With a Little Help From My Friend
Kallianne Mogler assisted Deanna Hecht on one of the goals scored in Oct. 13's matchup against South Dakota, which extended her program leading assist total to 14. Mogler leads the Mastodons this season with six assists.
First Half Fighters
The Mastodons have held seven of its opponents scoreless in the first half of each contest. Detroit Mercy, Evansville, Youngstown State, Western Michigan, Valparaiso, Robert Morris and Western Illinois were all unable to score on the 'Dons in the first 45 minutes of play.
Fresh Legs
Seven different freshmen Mastodons have found their way into the starting lineup at some point this season. Jessica Schoenfeldt and Gabrielle Fanning have started all 16 contests, while Emma Gaggioli started eight in a row. Breanna Buche and Baylee Kramer have five and three starts respectively, while Kailyn Wade and Cesiley LaCourt have two.
Brace Yourself
The 'Dons have three sets of braces so far this season between their two leading scorers, Deanna Hecht and Kendall Quinn. Hecht has two, in which all four of her goals this season were scored. Most recently, Hecht had two goals against Summit League foe South Dakota. She also chipped in an assist to Quinn in this matchup. Quinn and Hecht both had two goals in the 'Dons 4-2 victory over Robert Morris. Quinn had her brace completed before the 10-minute mark, which was the first time in program history that two goals had been scored against a Division I opponent within 10 minutes of the first kick.
Looking Back
Fort Wayne fell at North Dakota State 4-0. The Mastodons had 25 shots, which marked the most against a Division I opponent since 2012, when the 'Dons had 36 shots against North Dakota State.
