Fort Wayne Falls to Western Illinois in Macomb

MACOMB, Ill. - The Fort Wayne women's soccer team dropped a 1-0 match to Western Illinois on Sunday (Oct. 8) at the John MacKenzie Alumni Field.
The Mastodons held the Leathernecks scoreless in the first half, and headed into the break with a 0-0 score. Emily Bollman scored the only goal of the match after 65 minutes of shutout for Emma Gaggioli and the 'Dons. Gaggioli finished the match with eight saves, which ties her season-high.
Kallianne Mogler placed two shots on goal, one in each half, and Jessica Schoenfeldt placed the other shot on goal in the second half.
Fort Wayne falls to 1-11-0 (0-2-0 Summit League) while the Leathernecks jump to 2-10-0 (1-1-0). Fort Wayne returns home for a Friday (Oct. 13) matchup against South Dakota at 7 p.m. at Hefner Soccer Complex.
