Men's Golf One Shot Off the Lead at Lonnie Barton Invite

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team sits one shot off the lead after the first round of the Lonnie Barton Invitational with a combined score of 307.
Hosted by LIU-Brooklyn at the par-72, 6,117-yard LPGA International, Sacred Heart leads the field. Four players are tied atop the individual leaderboard after one round of play, including Fort Wayne's Cody White at 1-over-par 73.
Three Mastodons sit in the top-10 after day one, including White. One shot back of the leaders is Zach Schroeder in a tie for fifth place. David Watterson, playing as an individual, enters the final day tied for eighth with a 3-over-par 75.
Through 18 holes, Devin Jenkins sits in a tie for 22nd with a score of 79. Dan Wert and Josh Keating rounded out the scoring for the 'Dons, shooting rounds of 81 on the day to tie for 37th place.
The final round of the Lonnie Barton Invitational will take place tomorrow, March 7.
