Men's Golf Ties for 10th Lowest Round in Team History

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - Through two rounds of the Hoosier Invitational, the Fort Wayne men's golf team is tied for sixth place with scores of 287-290-577.
Hosted by Indiana University at the par-71 IU Golf Course, the tournament is being played at 6,813 yards. Charlotte sits atop the 14-team invitational with a 36-hole score of 12-under-par 556. Peter Webb from Valparaiso leads the 78-player field with a 9-under-par 133.
Fort Wayne's opening round score of 287 is tied for the 10th lowest round in program history. The Mastodons are tied with Toledo and sit ahead of Summit League rivals Western Illinois and IUPUI.
Zach Schroeder leads the 'Dons in a tie for 10th place with a 1-under-par 141 (70-71) while finishing the day with seven birdies. Cody White recorded the fifth most birdies on the day with nine, as he is tied for 17th with a 1-over-par 143. White carded six birdies in round number two, including three straight on Nos. 1-3. Devin Jenkins finished with six birdies in the opening round to shoot an even-par 71 and finish the day tied for 49th at 148. One shot back in a tie for 53rd with rounds of 73 and 76 is Josh Keating. David Watterson rounds out the scoring for the Mastodons with scores of 78-73-151 to finish the day tied for 58th place.
The final round of the Hoosier Invitational will be a shotgun start tomorrow, April 2, at 9 a.m.
