Men's Golf Jumps One Spot on Final Day at Wolf Run

ZIONSVILLE, Ind. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team jumped one spot on the final day of the Wolf Run Intercollegiate, as the Mastodons finished 14th with a 54-hole score of 938.

Hosted by Indiana at the par-71, 7,155-yard Wolf Run Golf Club, Kentucky won the team title with a three-day score of 872. Patrick Flavin of Miami (Ohio) carded a 2-under-par 211 to capture the individual medalist honors.

The 'Dons carded a 313 on the final day to finish three strokes back of 13th place Western Kentucky.

Zach Schroeder paced Fort Wayne on the final day with a 75 to finish the weekend in a tie for 36th place with a 229. Callahan Elzey finished tied for 49th place with a three-day score of 233. Josh Keating led the Mastodons with two birdies on the day to tie for 65th, carding a 236 for the tournament. Clark Tiller shot a 243 over three days to finish tied for 80th. Round out the team scoring for the 'Dons is Eric Brinker with a 54-hole score of 257 and placing 88th.

Fort Wayne next competes in the Memphis Intercollegiate September 18-19.
