Keating Shoots Even-Par on Final Day of Memphis Intercollegiate

CORDOVA, Tenn. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team finished the Memphis Intercollegiate in ninth place, shooting a 296 on the final day to card a 54-hole score of 898.
Hosted by Memphis at the par-72 Colonial Country Club, the course was played at 7,235 yards. Middle Tennessee State won the team trophy with a two-day score of 868. Hunter Richardson of UT Martin captured the individual medalist honors with a 6-under-par 210
Callahan Elzey led the Mastodons for the week shooting a 74 to finish tied for 28th with a 222. Zac Turi carded a 76 for the round and a 224 on the tournament, tying for 33rd place. Eric Brinker concluded the week with a 75 to finish tied for 43rd place with a 227. Zach Schroeder and Josh Keating each carded three birdies on the day to finish with scores of 229 and 233, respectively. Schroeder tied for 48th while Keating led the team with a 72 on the final day to tie for 58th.
Playing as an individual, Cody White carded a team best four birdies to shoot a 74 for the round and tie for 62nd with a 54-hole score of 234.
Fort Wayne returns to action for the NKU Fall Classic September 24 and 25.
