Brinker Cards First Round Even Par to Lead Mastodons

BATAVIA, Ohio - The Fort Wayne men's golf team ended the first day of the NKU Fall Classic tie for eighth place with a 36-hole score of 296-304-600.
Hosted by Northern Kentucky at the par-71 Elks Run Golf Club, the course is being played at 6,845 yards.
Butler leads the team standings with a two-round score of 572. Patrick Allgeier also of Butler holds a two-shot lead with a 2-under-par 140.
Eric Brinker fired a first-round even-par to finish the day tied for eighth place with a 145. Brinker also led the 'Dons by carding seven birdies on the day. Tied for 21st is Callahan Elzey with five birdies, shooting rounds of 72-76-148. Zac Turi also carded five birdies for the day, recording scores of 80-74-154 and is tied for 47th place. Zach Schroeder and Cody White round out the team standings in a tie for 58th with scores of 157. Schroeder carded rounds of 77-80 while White shot scores of 76-81.
Parker Deakyne is playing as an individual, shooting rounds of 84-77-161 to tie for 74th place.
The final round of the NKU Fall Classic will be a shotgun start at 9 a.m. tomorrow, September 25.
