Repp Hits Seven Three's as 'Dons Fall at NDSU
1/20/2018 5:33:00 PM | Women's Basketball
FARGO, N.D. - Kierstyn Repp scored a career-high 23 points for the Fort Wayne women's basketball team, but it was not enough to pick up the road win as the Mastodons fell to North Dakota State 72-56.
Repp's 23 points came on 8-of-15 shooting, including 7-of-12 from beyond the arc. Her seven triples are the most by a Mastodons since current Director of Operations for the team Haley Seibert had seven at Omaha on Jan. 30, 2014. Peyton Fallis finished with 13 points and three assists. Anna Lappenküper led the 'Dons with four assists while De'Jour Young led the way with seven rebounds.
Tied 4-4 early in the first quarter, the Bison scored the next nine points to take the lead for good. The Mastodons were unable to get its offense going in the second quarter as they were held to five points. Fort Wayne nearly matched NDSU's scoring in the second half, but the first half deficit was too much to overcome.
The Mastodons connected on a season-high 10 three-pointers on 30 attempts (33.3%). For the afternoon, the 'Dons shot 16-of-53 (30.2%) from the field and 14-of-17 (82.4%) at the free throw line.
Fort Wayne returns to the court when it travels to South Dakota State Saturday, January 27 for a 3 p.m. ET tipoff.
