‘Dons Take Fourth As Kitchen Named All-League Second Team

OMAHA, Neb. – Purdue Fort Wayne men's cross country finished fourth (99 points) at the 2018 Summit League championships on Saturday (Oct. 27).
The Mastodons matched last season's best ever fourth place finish, but did so this year topping one additional team as North Dakota joined the league this year to make it a seven-team event.
Logan Kitchen had the best performance of the day for the 'Dons. He took 13th with a time of 26:04.19 to earn All-Summit League Second Team honors for a second straight season. He is the first Mastodon to ever win two All-Summit League honors in his career.
Robert Peck earned 21st with a time of 26:44.78. A spot behind Peck was Sam Williamson (26:46.29). Alex Barton took 25th (26:52.17). Sammy Moran earned 29 thanks to a finish of 27:05.67. Kurt Unger was 34th (27:40.53) and Austin Rockstroh (28:32.63) was 46th.
South Dakota State won the team title thanks to a score of 23. Omaha hosted the event.
The 'Dons are back in action on Nov. 8 at the NCAA Great Lakes Regionals.
