Schroeder Shoots 3-Under-Par on Final Day as 'Dons Finish Sixth

ESTERO, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team wrapped up its fall season with a sixth place finish at the Homewood/Hilton Garden Airport FGCU Classic with a two-day total of 923. The Mastodons carded a team score of 301 on the final day.
Hosted by Florida Gulf Coast, the par-72 Old Corkscrew Golf Club was played at 6,619 yards. Campbell captured the team championship with a 54-hole score of 882. Erik Lindwall of Eastern Kentucky won the individual medalist honors with a two-day score of 1-under-par 215.
Zach Schroeder carded a 3-under-par 69 during the final round to finish in eighth place with a 225. Schroeder's final-round 69 was tied for the lowest round of the tournament, as he finished with four birdies and an eagle on the day.
Tying for 22nd place was Callahan Elzey with an 80 for the round and a 54-hole score of 232. Two shots back in a tie for 25th was Eric Brinker, shooting a 78 on the final day. Clark Tiller carded a 2-over-par 74 during the final round to finish at 237 and tie for 33rd. He tied Schroeder with four birdies in the round. Cody White rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons with an 80 on the day and 240 for the week, to finish in 39th place.
