SCOUTING SAMFORD
Samford is 5-1 on the season with wins over North Alabama, Jacksonville State, Kennesaw State, Miles College and Cleveland State. The Bulldogs lost 68-50 to Ohio State on Tuesday but led 32-29 at the break. Rueben Guerrero leads the team with 14.5 points and 8.2 rebounds per game. The 7-0 center is a transfer from South Florida.

Tuesday's win moved Jon Coffman's career record to 81-56. His .591 winning percentage is already the best in program history. However, Coffman's next victory will give him his 82nd victory, matching Dane Fife's 82-97 (2005-11) mark for most wins by a head coach during the Division I era. The program record for victories is Andy Piazza's 143-109 mark from 1987-96.
