Repp and Young Score Double Digits in Road Loss

MILWAUKEE - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball team dropped its road game at Milwaukee Saturday afternoon (Dec. 1), 70-48. The Mastodons fall to 3-6 on the season.
Kierstyn Repp led the 'Dons finishing with 12 points, including three buckets from beyond the arc. De'Jour Young also finished in double-digits with 10 points. Jaelencia Williams led the team with eight rebounds and three assists, while scoring eight points.
Milwaukee opened the game scoring nine consecutive points as the Mastodons were out-scored 22-3 in the opening period. The Mastodons reversed their fortunes to begin the second, as they opening with a 19-6 scoring run, including the first six points. The 'Dons cut the deficit down to six at 28-22 with 2:55 to go in the half. The Mastodons were unable to pull any closer as Milwaukee closed out the second quarter and began the third on a 16-2 advantage to put the game away.
On the afternoon, the 'Dons finished 13-of-54 (24.1%) from the floor, 8-of-25 (32%) on three-point attempts and 14-of-22 (63.6%) at the free throw line.
Purdue Fort Wayne returns home to host Eastern Michigan on Saturday, December 8 at 2 p.m.
