DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The Fort Wayne men's golf team sits in first place after two rounds at the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational with a 36-hole score of 292-304-596.

Hosted by Bethune-Cookman at the par-72, 6,984-yard LPGA International, the Mastodons hold a four-shot lead over the host Wildcats and six other team.

Zach Schroeder sits atop the 49-player individual leaderboard by one shot with an even-par 144. He carded a 1-under-par 71 during the first round and a 1-over-par 73 during round two. Schroeder finished with eight birdies on the day.

Eric Brinker is in third place with a score of 2-over-par 146, carding identical rounds of 1-over-par 73. Clark Tiller is tied for eighth place with scores of 73-79-152. In a tie for 12th place is Callahan Elzey, shooting rounds of 75-79-154. Cody White rounds out the team scoring tied in 25th position with scores of 79-82-161.

Playing as an individual, Josh Keating fired rounds of 82 and 88 to finish the day in 45th place with a 170.

The final round of the Gary Freeman Spring Invitational will be tomorrow, March 2 at 8 a.m.
