Schroeder Shoots One Over Par on Day Two to Lead 'Dons

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. - During the second round of the Kingsmill Intercollegiate, the Fort Wayne men's golf team carded a team score of 298, as the Mastodons enter the final round tied for 14th place with a two-day score of 602.
Hosted at the Kingsmill Resort - The River Course and put on by the College of William & Mary, the par-70 course is being played at 6,794 yards. Utah Valley sits atop the team standings by one stroke with a 36-hole score of 576. Chad Hess of Old Dominion leads the 127-player field with an even-par 140.
The 'Dons head into the final day tied with Delaware and three shots back of Appalachian State.
Zach Schroeder led the Mastodons on the day, shooting a 1-over-par 71, and is tied for 34th with a 149. Schroeder recorded five birdies for the round, second most by any golfer for the day, all of which came on the back-nine.
Overall, Cody White leads the team with a 148 and is tied for 28th place after carding three birdies on the day to finish with a 74. Callahan Elzey also recorded three birdies to finish with a 75 and enter the final round carding a 149 and is tied for 34th. Eric Brinker shot a 78 for the round with a two-day score of 157 and is tied for 98th. Clark Tiller rounded out the team scoring for the day with an 81 and is tied for 110th with a 36-hole score of 159.
