Mastodons Wrap Up Day One at Summit League Championship

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - Through the first day of the Summit League Championship, the Fort Wayne women's golf team is in eight place with a score of 333.
Hosted at the par-72 Arbor Links Golf Club, the championship course is set at 6,261 yards. North Dakota State holds a 10-shot lead after 18 holes with a score of 291. Natalie Roth of NDSU and Sophie Newlove of Denver are tied for the individual lead at 1-under-par 71.
The Mastodons enter day two eight shots back of Omaha.
Madison Chesnutt led the 'Dons on day one with an 80 and is tied for 21st. One shot back in a tie for 27 is Linnzie Richner. Jenna Kurosky carded an 84 on the opening day and is in 36th place. Abigail Carlsen is tied for 38th position with an 88. Capping off the team scoring for the Mastodons was Paige Bird shooting a 93 and is in 40th place.
The second round of the Summit League Championship begins tomorrow, April 23, at 9 a.m. ET.
