Carlsen Cards Summit League Tournaments only Eagle on Day Two

NEBRASKA CITY, Neb. - The Fort Wayne women's golf team improved by 10 shots from day one to day two at the Summit League Championship, as the Mastodons carded a 323 for the day and sit in eighth place with a two-day score of 656
Hosted at the par-72 Arbor Links Golf Club, the championship course is set at 6,261 yards. North Dakota State leads the team standings after 36 holes with a score of 580. Sierra Bennion has a one-shot lead heading into the final round with a 1-under-par 143.
The 'Dons gained a stroke on seventh place Omaha, and now sit seven shots back of the Mavericks entering the final day.
For the second consecutive day, Madison Chesnutt led the Mastodons with an 80 for the round and sits in a tie for 23rd with a 36-hole score of 160. Jenna Kurosky and Linnzie Richner are tied for 34th place with scores of 165. Kurosky carded an 81 on the day, while Richner finished with an 84. Abigail Carlsen carded the tournament's only eagle, when she drained her third shot from 70 yards out on the par-5 No. 16. Carlsen ended the day with an 81 and is in 39th place with a total score of 169. Paige Bird also finished the round with an 81 as she enters the final day in 40th place with a two-day score of 174.
The final round of the Summit League Championship begins tomorrow, April 24, at 9 a.m. ET.
