KENT, Ohio - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team gears up for the two-day Golden Flashes Classic, hosted by Kent State, beginning August 31. The Mastodons will take on Morgan State, Kent State and Niagara.

Setter Madison Jaqua has been named The Summit League's Offensive Player of the Week for her performance during the opening weekend of the season.
Jaqua earned her first career Player of the Week honor as she recorded a league-high 12.91 assists per set on 142 assists during the opening weekend. Her average for the week would have led the NCAA last season. Jaqua ran a Mastodon offense that led the Summit League in kills per set, assists per set, and hitting percentage on the week. In three matches, Jaqua notched two double-doubles with 51 assists and 14 digs in the 3-1 victory over Liberty and 44 assists and 13 digs against Oakland. She also finished the weekend ranked 15th in the league in digs per set (3.00), second-most by any primary setter.
