John Konchar Named On 2018-19 Lou Henson Award Watch List

FORT WAYNE, Ind. – Purdue Fort Wayne's John Konchar is on the 2018-19 Lou Henson Award Mid-Season Watch List, as announced by CollegeInsider.com on Wednesday (Jan. 9).
The Lou Henson Award is presented annually to the nation's top mid-major player in Division I College Basketball. The award will be presented in April at the NCAA Final Four.
Konchar is one of three Summit League players on the list. South Dakota State's Mike Daum and David Jenkins also made the list.
Konchar has two Summit League Player of the Week honors this year. He is averaging 19.9 points per game, second in the conference and 46th in the nation. He leads the league in field goal percentage (57.5 percent), total steals (24) and assists per game (4.9). His 9.4 rebounds per game is 32nd in the nation.
Since 1992-93 Konchar is only the second player in all of NCAA Division I men's basketball to reach 1,500 points, 1,000 rebounds, 400 assists and 200 steals in a career.
The Mastodons (11-7, 3-0 Summit League) host Oral Roberts on Thursday (Jan. 10) evening.
