Mastodons Drop League Match to North Dakota

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Despite Lorah Pund totaling a career-high 13 saves, Purdue Fort Wayne dropped a Summit League match against North Dakota 1-0 at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
North Dakota struck in the opening 45 minutes, as Mimi Eiden burried a shot that she corralled off her own rebounded shot. This was the only time the Fighting Hawks found the back of the net, hoever, as Pund kept the ball in play from 28:32 on. She racked up 10 saves in the first half.
In the second 45, Purdue Fort Wayne had several opportunities to score the equalizer. Kailyn Wade had a header in minute 53 that was sent from the far side. Megan Sinnott had a shot to the lower left side, but UND keeper Catherine Klein snagged the shot before it sneak by. The Mastodons finished the match with 13 shots.
