FORT WAYNE, Ind. - On a windy Sunday afternoon (Oct. 13), Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer fell to South Dakota 1-0 at the Hefner Soccer Complex.
Maddison Sullivan scored the game-winning goal at 28:41 and was assisted by Amanda Carpio after a corner kick. Lorah Pund kept the Coyotes from scoring for the remainder of the match, tallying three saves in 90 minutes.
Tahra Brodbine led the way for the Mastodons with two shots. Eight other Mastodons contributed one shot attempt apiece to the 'Dons 10 total shots for the day.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to a record of 4-7-2 , 0-3-0 Summit League. South Dakota improves to a record of 6-8-0, 1-2-0 Summit League. The Mastodons will hit the road for a pair of Summit League matches next weekend against North Dakota State and South Dakota State.
