Women's Soccer Picks Up Tie At NDSU

FARGO, N.D. - After 110 minutes of playing time, Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer tied North Dakota State 0-0 on Friday (Oct. 18) in North Dakota.
Lorah Pund and the Mastodon defense kept the North Dakota Bison off the scoreboard. Pund tallied three saves in the first half and eight total in the match to keep the Bison at zero. She helped the Mastodons record their fifth shutout of the season.
The Mastodons controlled much of the second half and finished with an advantage in shots in the second, 8-6. Purdue Fort Wayne's best chance to score came in the 63rd minute. Kendall Quinn had a pair of shots from in close that NDSU defenders turned away.
Quinn led the way in shots on goal with two. Megan Sinnott, Kailyn Wade and Kayla Wisniewski contributed one shot on goal apiece for the five shots on goal total.
Each team had three corners in the game.
Purdue Fort Wayne moves to a record of 4-7-3, 0-3-1 Summit League and North Dakota State moves to a record of 6-5-3, 1-1-2 Summit League. It is Purdue Fort Wayne's first positive result in Fargo in eight tries.
The Mastodons will stay on the road for another conference matchup on Sunday (Oct. 20) against the South Dakota State Jackrabbits at 1 p.m.
