Mastodons Fall to South Dakota State 3-0

BROOKINGS, S.D. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team ended its weekend with a 3-0 loss at South Dakota State on Sunday (Oct. 20).
In the 25th minute, Maya Hansen scored the game-winning goal for SDSU. The Jackrabbits scored two more goals at the 42nd minute and the 75th minute.
At the 18th minute, Megan Sinnott took a shot for the Mastodons from the 18, but it was saved by the Jackrabbits' goalkeeper on an outstretched hand high near the crossbar. Sinnott had another shot on goal later on, marking both of her shots on the day on target. Kayla Wisniewski, Tahra Brodbine, Kendall Quinn and Isabelle Wissel each contributed one shot on goal for a total of six on the day.
Purdue Fort Wayne falls to 4-8-3, 0-4-1 Summit League. South Dakota State advances to 13-3-0, 5-0-0 Summit League record, picking up its 11th straight win and 11th straight shutout.
The Mastodons will stay on the road for their final Summit League road match against Denver on Sunday (Oct. 27) at 2 p.m.
