'Dons Host Oral Roberts, Travel to Omaha This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team is set for a pair of Summit League matches this week: a home contest against Oral Roberts and a road test at Omaha.

Scouting Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts will come to Arnie Ball Court with a 6-12, 2-2 Summit League. Before last weekend, the Golden Eagles were on a nine-match losing streak. They righted the ship with two wins last week against Omaha and South Dakota State, earning them a pair of Summit League Players of the Week. CeCe Madison took the offensive honor while Sarah Thiessen earned defensive. Head coach Sheera Sirola just became the Summit League's all-time winningest coach with 246 wins.
Scouting Omaha
Omaha is 9-9, 2-2 Summit League heading into the weekend and will play at Western Illinois on Friday before welcoming the 'Dons on Sunday. The Mavericks are led by Isabella Sade, who is averaging 3.40 kills per set on a .169 hitting percentage.

Purdue Fort Wayne is entering the weekend having won six out of the last seven matches. This stretch includes three straight at the Cougar Classic and a trio of Summit League wins.

Sydney Boerst holds a 0.93 blocks per set average for her career, which ranks eighth in program history. In seventh is Taryn Parker, who averaged 0.93 blocks per set in her career from 2007-10.
