Men's Basketball to Host Coaches vs. Cancer Kids Clinic

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne Mastodons men's basketball head coach Jon Coffman, in conjunction with Indiana Tech head coach Ted Albert, Saint Francis head coach Chad LaCross and Mad Ants head coach Steve Gansey, have announced their 2019 Fort Wayne Coaches vs. Cancer kids basketball clinic at the Lutheran Health Fieldhouse at the Gates Athletics Center on Sunday, October 13.
All proceeds go directly to the American Cancer Society to help fund the fight against cancer.
The cost for the clinic is $15 for the first child and $5 for any additional children if registered at the same time. The clinic will run from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. and is for kids in grades pre-K to 6th. The registration fee includes a t-shirt and an autograph session with Purdue Fort Wayne, Indiana Tech and Saint Francis student-athletes.
Coaches vs. Cancer is a nationwide collaboration between the American Cancer Society and the National Association of Basketball Coaches. The initiative leverages the personal experiences, community leadership, and professional excellence of basketball coaches nationwide to increase cancer awareness and promote healthy living through year-round awareness efforts, fund-raising activities and advocacy programs.
