FORT WAYNE, Ind. - The league-leading Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball team is set for a pair of road matches at North Dakota State and North Dakota this weekend.

Scouting North Dakota State
The Bison hold a 5-9, 0-2 Summit League record, and are currently on a five-match losing streak. NDSU fell at South Dakota State and Omaha to open Summit League play last weekend. The Bison are led by Alexis Bachmeier, hammering down 2.72 kills per set. NDSU runs a 6-2, with Kalli Hegerle and Kelley Johnson splitting the setting duties.
Scouting North Dakota
North Dakota enters the weekend 8-8, 0-2 Summit League and will welcome Western Illinois on Friday before the 'Dons visit on Sunday. The Fighting Hawks are coming off a pair of losses to open Summit League play at Omaha and at South Dakota. UND is led by Ashley Brueggeman, who is averaging 2.90 kills per set with a .281 hitting percentage.

The Mastodons are entering the weekend on a five-match win streak. The 'Dons went an undefeated 3-0 at the Cougar Classic, followed by two straight wins to open Summit League play. The 'Dons topped Western Illinois in three sets and Denver in four.

Purdue Fort Wayne is 2-0 in the Summit League after defeating Western Illinois and Denver in the opening week. The Mastodons defeated preseason League favorite Denver in four sets on Arnie Ball Court on September 27 behind 17 kills from Katie Crowe.

Rachael Crucis is currently first in the Summit League in digs per set at 4.67 and total digs at 271. She has at least 20 digs in six contests this season.
All Them Double-Doubles
Madison Gates has seven double-doubles so far this season, including three consecutive in the first three matches of the season. These are the first seven double-doubles of her career.

Katie Crowe has 26 double-doubles in three years with the Mastodons, 11 of which came in 2018. Of the 26, 16 of them came on Arnie Ball Court. Crowe has seven double-doubles so far this season.
