20/20 VISION
Sophomore Jarred Godfrey opened the season with 24 points at UNLV and 20 against Manchester. The last freshman or sophomore to score 20 in back-to-back games for the Mastodons was John Konchar as a freshman in 2015-16 when he scored 22 at South Dakota State and at Omaha. Konchar never accomplished the feat as a sophomore.
NEARING TRIPLE DIGITS
Head coach Jon Coffman owns a 97-70 record. He has the most wins in the NCAA Division I era (2001 to present) in program history. Only Andy Piazza has more wins on the Mastodon bench. Piazza went 142-108 from 1987-96 when the 'Dons were a member of NCAA Division II.
YEAH... BUT...
The 'Dons do not return an All-Summit League First Team, Second Team or Honorable Mention selection this season. But... the last time the 'Dons didn't return an all-league performer was 2015-16... and all the 'Dons did that year was win the Summit League Regular Season Championship.
