Moran Leads the Way for 'Dons at NCAA Regional

MADISON, Wis. - Purdue Fort Wayne took home the 27th spot with 785 points at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional 10K at the University of Wisconsin - Madison on Friday (Nov. 15).

Sammy Moran was the first to finish for the 'Dons in 111th place and a personal best time of 32:56.0. Alex Barton was up next for the Mastodons in 165th place with a time of 34:25.3. Michael Oliver (167th, 34:31.3), Robert Peck (169th, 34:44.5), Karter Tow (183rd, 35:19.9), Austin Rockstroh (192nd, 36:24.0) and Husam Saleh (195th, 36:43.6) rounded out the day for the 'Dons.

Tow, Saleh and Oliver all recorded personal bests for the 10K.

Purdue University walked away as the overall team winner with 79 points and Aaron Bienenfeld from the University of Cincinnati was the individual winner with a time of 29:59.9.

This was the final race for the Mastodons as a Summit League member. When the 'Dons return to the course in 2020 it will be as a member of the Horizon League.
