Mastodons Host Omaha, Travel to Oral Roberts This Weekend

FORT WAYNE, Ind. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's volleyball is set for a pair of matchups this weekend, hosting Omaha on Friday (Nov. 8) and traveling to Oral Roberts on Sunday (Nov. 10).

Omaha is 14-12, 7-5 Summit League, and is coming off its 3-1 Senior Night loss to South Dakota. Prior to that contest, the Mavericks had won four straight matches in three sets. In their first matchup with the Mastodons, Purdue Fort Wayne came away from Nebraska with a five-set win. Isabella Sade is leading the Omaha squad at 3.49 kills per set.
Scouting Oral Roberts
Oral Roberts is 6-20, 2-10 Summit League, and is riding an eight-match losing streak heading into the weekend. The Golden Eagles will welcome Western Illinois on Friday before the Mastodons on Sunday.
Sweeping Players of the Week ... Again
Purdue Fort Wayne had a pair of Summit League Player of the Week honors this past week. Rachael Crucis picked up her second Defensive honor, becoming the only Mastodon freshman to have two weekly honors since joining the League in 2007. Madelyn Wurster earned the Offensive award after averaging 4.00 kills per set and a .469 hitting percentage.
