Tiller and Brinker Shoot Even Par on Day Two

PALM CITY, Fla. - The Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team shot 16 strokes better on day two of the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate, as the Mastodons are in eighth place after shooting a 290 on the day and sit at 596 through 36 holes.
Hosted by UNCG at the par-72, 6,802-yard Martin Downs Golf Club, UNCG leads the team standings with a 10-under-par 566. Kristian Tannum Donaldson of VCU sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 10-under-par 134.
The Mastodons gained seven shots on seventh place Boston College and now sit three shots back. The 'Dons added to their lead on Summit League rival South Dakota and now sit two shots up on the Coyotes.
Zach Schroeder continues to lead Purdue Fort Wayne, carding a 73 on the day to finish 36-holes with a 145 and tie for 16th. Eric Brinker is one shot back in 23rd place after carding an even-par 72. Callahan Elzey sits in a tie for 36th place with a 149 after shooting a 1-over-par 73 on day two. Clark Tiller tied the low team score on the day with an even-par 72, and is tied for 64th place with a 156. Parker Deakyne rounds out the team scoring with a 171, shooting an 80 for the day and sitting in 88th place.
Luke Miller leads the Mastodons individual golfers, shooting a 77 for the round and a 156 through two days to tie for 64th. Two shots back in a tie for 70th is Zac Turi who carded an 80 for the day. Josh Keating is in 87th place, shooting an 83 for the day and a 169 for the tournament. Cody White is 91st at 179 for the week with a 91 on the day, and Jake Kennedy is 92nd with a 182 overall and 85 for the round.
The final round of the UNCG Martin Downs Collegiate will be an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start tomorrow, February 12.
