INDIANAPOLIS - Callahan Elzey, Eric Brinker, and Clark Tiller are all tied for 10th place to lead the Purdue Fort Wayne men's golf team after the first day of the Butler Spring Invitational. As a team, the Mastodons sit in seventh place with a score of 297.

Hosted by Butler at the par-70, 6,551-yard Highland Golf Club, IUPUI leads the team standings with a 2-under-par 278. Nick Bienz also of IUPUI sits atop the individual leaderboard with a 6-under-par 64.

The 'Dons enter the final round two shots back of sixth place Ohio and four back of fifth place Valparaiso.

Elzey and Brinker led the Mastodon team scoring, shooting rounds of 2-over-par 72. Parker Deakyne is tied for 35th with a round of 76. One shot back in a tie for 43rd place is Zach Schroeder. Zac Turi rounded out the team scoring for the 'Dons with a 79 and is tie for 48th position.

Five Mastodons are playing as individuals. Tiller leads the way with a 2-over-par 72. Cody White is tied for 29th with a 74. Josh Keating shot a 77 and is tied for 43rd. Luke Miller sits in a tie for 48th with a 79 and one shot back in a tie for 51st is Jake Kennedy.

The final round of the Butler Spring Invitational begins tomorrow, April 2, at 10 a.m.
