Incoming Freshman Rico Wardlow Named To AVCA Boys High School All-America List

LEXINGTON, Ky. - The AVCA announced its High School All-America list on Wednesday (June 12), and Purdue Fort Wayne incoming freshman Rico Wardlow was named to the second team.
At Bolingbrook High School, Wardlow led the Raiders to a 21-12, 5-3 record and an IHSA regional championship berth. After his efforts, he earned a place on the 24-man roster of the U.S. Boys Youth National Training Team.
Wardlow is the first Mastodon to earn a High School All-America honor since Alex Dickmann in 2015. He is also one of just six high school seniors slated to join a MIVA squad to earn the distinction.
Along with seven other newcomers, Wardlow will join Purdue Fort Wayne for the 2020 season, beginning in early January.
