
Mastodons End Road Trip With a Tie Against Robert Morris

MOON TOWNSHIP, Pa. – On a windy afternoon on Sunday (Aug. 25) at the North Athletic Complex, the Purdue Fort Wayne women's soccer team tied Robert Morris 1-1.
Freshman Morgan Reitano scored the first regular-season goal of her career by beating three Colonial defenders in the 16th minute. She was unassisted on the goal. Robert Morris scored the equalizer in the 79th minute with a one-touch pass from Kayla Veloso-Lima to the goal scorer, Sheridan Reid.
In overtime, there were a few shots both ways, but the Mastodon defense, led by keeper Lorah Pund kept the Colonials from winning with a golden goal.
Both squads move to 0-1-1 on the season. Purdue Fort Wayne will travel to the Windy City to take on the Chicago State Cougars on Friday, August 30 at 2 p.m.
