ROCHESTER, Mich. - Purdue Fort Wayne women's golf is set to compete in the Golden Grizzlies Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 16-17).
Event: Golden Grizzlies Invitational
Host: Oakland
When: September 16-17 (Monday shotgun start at noon and Tuesday shotgun start 9 a.m.)
Where: Katke-Cousins Golf Course | Rochester, Mich.
Par: 72

Format: 18 holes on Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday | Play 5 count 4

Katke-Cousins Golf Course
The par-72 course includes points of interest on the Meadow Brook Hall grounds. The bridge on the 15th hole is believed to have provided access to John Dodge's pumping station. The 17th and 18th holes offer a magnificent view of Meadow Brook Hall while challenging the best of players. These historical highlights are enhanced by the course's natural beauty and abundant wildlife lingering in the wooded roughs and bubbling streams.

Purdue Fort Wayne will bring Holly Anderson, Laura Caetano, Linnzie Richner, Emma Schroeder and Kennedy Brooker to the Golden Grizzlies Invitational. Sarah Lewis will play as an individual.
Smashing Records
In the opening tournament of the 2019-20 season, the Golfweek Program Champoinship, Purdue Fort Wayne broke a pair of records. Laura Caetano broke the 36-hole individual record with a score of 146. After all 54 holes were played, Purdue Fort Wayne crushed the previous 54-hole record by 28 strokes. The Mastodons finished the tournament with a 912, breaking the 940 at the Cardinal Classic in 2018.
Last Time Out
Purdue Fort Wayne finished 10th at the Golfweek Program Championship. Laura Caetano and Holly Anderson both shot 222, just one stroke back of the 54-hole individual record.
Next Time Up
The Mastodons will have two weeks off before heading to the Shirley Spork Eastern Michigan Invitational in Ypsilanti on September 30.
