VERMILLION, S.D. - As they near the halfway mark of the Summit League season, the Purdue Fort Wayne women's basketball team will visit No. 24/18 South Dakota on Friday (Jan. 24) with an 8 p.m. ET tip in the Sanford Coyotes Sports Center.

The Coyotes are led by Ciara Duffy, who has four Summit League Player of the Week honors to her name this season. Duffy has averaged 17.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per contest this year. The Yotes have won their last 20 games in the Sanford Coyote Sports Center.

South Dakota owns a 16-3 advantage over the Mastodons in the series history, and took the matchup earlier this season. The Coyotes came to the Gates Sports Center and beat the Mastodons 62-41, despite the 'Dons holding the Yotes to a season-low 62 points in Summit League play.

South Dakota only scored 62 points against Purdue Fort Wayne on New Year's Day, which was the second-fewest points the Coyotes have scored in a game this season. They only scored less in their 73-60 loss to No. 5 South Carolina on December 22. The Coyotes scored 104 in their following game against Denver on January 5.

Purdue Fort Wayne's women's basketball game on February 4 against Western Illinois will be First Responders Night. First responders who show their badge will get a ticket for $5, and can purchase up to 10 tickets. Of each ticket, $1 will go to the Muscular Dystrophy Association. There will also be $2 faculty and staff tickets for that game. Tickets can be purchased in advance by visiting the box office or contacting Brittany McLaughlin at vervyncb@pfw.edu.

Purdue Fort Wayne held Oral Roberts without a field goal for the first 6:24 of their game on January 16. The Golden Eagles only made one free throw in this opening stretch that put the Mastodons up 16-1.
Ott Career-High Again... And Again...
Just a few days after a career-high 19 at Western Illinois, freshman Riley Ott beat that mark with 20 against South Dakota State. In the following game against Oral Roberts, she had another career-high with 22. Her season average is up to 11.1 points per game.
Hess With the Quick Trigger
In the Mastodons' road game at Western Illinois (Jan. 9), Hannah Hess had three 3-pointers in the span of 71 seconds of game time. She started the second quarter by knocking in a trey 20 seconds after the opening whistle. 58 seconds later, she hit another one, followed by a third just 13 seconds following the second. This led the way to nine of her career-high 19 points.
13 Under 50
The Mastodons have held 13 out of their 18 opponents to under 50 percent from the floor. The 'Dons held UIC to the lowest output of an opponent this season at 32.7 percent.
Dropping Dimes
Hannah Albrecht had a career-high nine assists in the Mastodons' game at North Dakota on January 5. Her previous high was six, which she had set twice, but Albrecht passed that before halftime, as she had seven before the break. Her nine was the most since Sierra Bell had nine last season against IU Kokomo.
Free Throws Are Free
Purdue Fort Wayne is 28th in the country in free throw percentage, cashing in on 75.7 percent of its trips to the charity stripe. The Mastodons are second in the Summit League in that category, but only 0.9 percent behind Denver who leads the League.
